Since the death of his fiancée Kate, Jeremy won’t get out of bed. And why should he when she keeps appearing to him in his dreams? To his chagrin, Jeremy’s sex-addicted, party-animal brother Eddie convinces him to get out more. In doing so, he meets the exuberant but romantically cautious Chrissy, an acting student who incurs the jealousy of his belated betrothed. Through his struggle to choose between the two women, and, coincidentally, to understand a particular play by Chekhov, he ultimately finds himself facing what becomes, quite literally, a life and death decision.
