SUNDAY@SIX:

Yes, I know that Sunday is the Super Bowl. But you know where they don't care about the Super Bowl? Canada, that's where. So fittingly enough, THIS Sunday's FREE reading of a great play comes to us from our neighbor to the North. It's Bone Cage by the distinguished writer Catherine Banks. Here's more info:

BONE CAGE
By Catherine Banks
Directed by Virginia Roncetti

The 2008 winner of Canada's Governor-General's Award for Drama.

With Mary Ruth Baggott, Nat Cassidy*, Anne Fizzard*, Leigh Shannan*, Mike Smith Rivera*, Ben Sumrall*, Bill Tatum*, Victoria Wylie

Jamie is twenty-two years old and works twelve-hour shifts clear-cutting forest land. At the end of each shift, he sifts through the destruction he has created to rescue injured birds. Rich with dark humour and vibrant dialogue, "Bone Cage" shows us the life-blood of rural Canada flowing through the bone-caged human heart. An urgent, courageous look at our conflicted relationship to the natural world, where stripping the environment means stripping your soul.

Sunday, February 7 at 6pm in the Jewel Box

So if you're looking for a break from the Super Bowl hype, the WorkShop is the place to be THIS Sunday.
